New supporters for IFBF 2023

Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal for IFBF 2023. We’ve received over 80 proposals from 19 different countries. With flow batteries being in the news around the world, it’s great to have this reflected in our conference. We are still keen to hear about flow battery projects and business cases.

We are very pleased that the Association AKU-BAT CZ has joined us as a supporter of IFBF 2023, alongside Pinflow energy storage and Flow Batteries Europe (FBE). The CEO of the Association AKU-BAT CZ – Jan Fousek – will join us in Prague to discuss the commercial opportunities for energy storage in the Czech Republic, as well as the legal and regulatory framework.

Of course, we will be looking at how flow batteries impact on the energy sector not only in Europe, but around the world. The UN’s sustainability goals are a strong reminder of the need for energy storage to improve all our lives. Achieving these goals requires efforts from governments, industry, and the research community.

And our conferences do make a difference. Last year we talked about the omission of flow batteries from the EU Batteries Regulation. FBE took up the call to change this; and succeeded. Now flow batteries are included, we will be examining the implications of the EU’s Battery Passport during this year’s conference.

We hope you can join us in Prague this summer – registration will open very soon.

With best wishes,

Anthony Price

Secretary
