IFBF 2016 was held at the Karlsruhe Conference Centre, Karlsruhe, Germany. Two hundred and twenty two delegates from twenty four different countries attended the conference, representing more than one hundred and twenty industrial companies, research and development institutions, universities and colleges.
The programme covered a wide range of topics of relevance to the whole flow battery industry. Speakers, poster presentations, networking and panel discussions were again key to the success of the IFBF, which for the first time was held over three days.
Our industry visit was to Fraunhofer ICT, Pfinztal, Germany to see their new and impressive flow battery installation and their flow battery research and development facilities.
The IFBF conference dinner, a delightful evening with excellent light musical entertainment, was sponsored by UET and held at the Scheibenhardt Hof on the outskirts of Ettlingen, Germany.
