Oxkem are one of the largest manufacturers of vanadium sulphate electrolyte in the world. Oxkem manufactures its electrolyte by electrolytic reduction from high purity V5+ compounds and consequently the finished product is much purer than traditionally manufactured material, using a chemical reducing agent. Oxkem’s electrolyte contains no reducing agent residues and the manufacturing process removes a significant amount of trace element impurities. Oxkem’s vanadium sulphate electrolytic plant has the capacity to manufacture in excess of three million litres of electrolyte per year.
