The 18th edition of the International Flow Battery Forum (IFBF®) – the leading event for the flow battery community – will take place on 22–24 June 2027 in Barcelona, Spain, at the Barceló Sants Hotel, located on top of the main Barcelona Sants railway station in the Sants-Montjuïc district.
Over three days, IFBF will feature the participation of 300+ delegates among manufacturers, utilities, suppliers, policymakers, researchers, academics, and students from all over the world, 50+ speakers delivering presentations and panel discussions, an exhibition area with 25+ stands, many networking moments including a cocktail reception and a conference dinner, 50+ posters with a dedicated poster session, poster awards and a speed-pitching contest on the main stage, and other additional activities (morning run, flow battery design prize, and more).
The International Flow Battery Forum (IFBF®) is the annual event promoting the most recent developments in the commercialisation and technological advancements of flow batteries – a sustainable and safe long-duration energy storage technology, ideal for renewable energy storage. CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The call for proposals will open on 1 November 2026 and close on 15 January 2027. Further information coming soon.

TICKETS
Tickets will go on sale in February 2027.
All IFBF tickets include access to the three-day conference, exhibition area, poster session, and the poster session & cocktail reception on Day 2. A separate ticket is required for the conference dinner and the site visit. A full ticket including all the IFBF activities is available in limited numbers.
