Thorsten Seipp

Dr Thorsten Seipp is a leading advocate for the use of flow batteries in energy storage. In 2015, he co-founded Volterion, a flow-battery company based in Dortmund, Germany and is now Managing Director. Volterion develops and produces innovative redox-flow-battery stacks and modules for decentralized energy storage.  He previously worked at the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT and worked in multiple public and private funded research and demonstration projects on redox-flow batteries.  Thorsten studied chemical engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
