Session 7: Manufacturing & production

We need to understand how flow batteries are made: it’s essential that manufacturers can produce batteries economically, so they are viable in the fiercely competitive world of energy storage.

The session opens with Melanie Schröeder explaining Schmalz’s approach to materials and manufacturing. The session will continue with a discussion on methods of manufacture and production, and the importance of key components for the optimal performance of flow batteries.
