This is the tenth annual conference by the IFBF covering flow battery operations, applications, manufacture, development and research. We bring together users, industry, suppliers and the R&D community to meet, learn, discuss and raise the profile of flow batteries; they are a crucial technology within the electrical energy storage sector.
Flow Battery Visit
Monday 8th July
This year delegates will have the option to see a Flow Battery at the Institut Français du Pétrole – Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN). IFPEN is a major research and training player in the ﬁelds of energy, transport and the environment. There are limited spaces so make sure you register early to guarantee a place.
NOTE: IFPEN have high security standards and require you to bring your passport. If you are a non-EU national we will contact you separately for a copy of your passport beforehand. If you are an EU national with dual citizenship you must bring your EU passport with you.
Monday 8th July
This seminar is an electrical energy storage introduction to flow batteries and provides a background understanding on the need for energy storage on power systems market opportunities, while also covering the important technical and commercial aspects of flow battery design, manufacture and operation. This essential information allows delegates to engage successfully with the range of topics at the IFBF. More info.

Wednesday 10th July
The conference dinner will be held on the Hermès restaurant boat, the flagship of Les Bateaux Lyonnais. This 50 m ship will depart from the quayside adjacent to the conference centre and cruise along the Rhone and Saone rivers, through the centre of the city of Lyon. Our delegates and guests will be able to meet colleagues and enjoy the scenic views of the city and its surrounding landscape, accompanied by fine food and drink. The dinner is sponsored by Solvay.
