This year’s conference theme is “where are the flow battery gigafactories” and how do we get there?

The conference will be hosted by Flow Batteries Europe (FBE) in their native city of Brussels, Belgium. Representatives of government and industry organisations will attend to discuss the role of flow batteries to ensure security of electricity supply in Europe and worldwide. Topics will be explored and debated during presentations, panel sessions, and poster discussions.

Before the conference, on Monday 27 June 2022, there will be workshop organised by the EU-funded projects SONAR and CompBat to discuss the latest flow battery research and industry developments. Flow Batteries Europe will hold a member’s only General Assembly, and there will be other industry meetings and social events on the Monday evening.

The conference dinner will take place on Tuesday 28 June 2022 at the charming Theatre du Vaudeville. After the conference, on Thursday 30 June 2022, there will be a site visit to the MiRIS demonstration site to see a flow battery and microgrid in operation.

A full programme of events is available on Flow Battery Europe’s dedicated registration site.
