Conference paper guidelines

These guidelines are for people who are submitting a paper at the rescheduled IFBF 2020 conference, from Tuesday 19th – 21st January 2021. You will receive an IFBF formatted paper template for completion by email. If you are not the presenter, please forward this to the presenter and email us with their details.

Conference papers support the oral and poster presentations but should also be a stand-alone document with sufficient detail to serve as an academic or industry reference. If you are limited by time in your presentation, or space in your poster, you can include extra details in your paper. Papers should be factual and avoid commercial advertising or promotion.

Papers provide a record of each year’s IFBF and will be published in the Conference Book of Papers. This book, in electronic format, will be made available to all delegates at the IFBF, and to third parties after the conference. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to the content and that you have not infringed the rights of others. You agree that you have the consent of any co-authors.

We encourage authors to include their IFBF conference paper in their list of personal publications. If you wish to submit your paper for publication in the Journal of Energy Storage, please email the editor Patrick Moseley – as soon as possible and inform him that your paper has been accepted by the IFBF.

Submission and review

Your paper must be submitted by 15th November 2020 via Oxford Abstracts. Please upload your paper as soon as possible to allow us time to prepare the conference materials.

If your paper includes photographs, images or diagrams – or uses equations or special symbols – we recommend that you create a .pdf of your paper and embed this in the .docx file. This will allow our editorial team to see exactly how you intend your document to appear.

To assist the IFBF staff, your paper should be submitted formatted for publication.
